Robin at Run For The Warrior® Races over the past 10 years |
Below is a letter from Hope
For The Warriors® President, Robin Kelleher:
Dear Supporters,
In 2006, the first Run For
The Warriors® was held aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. The run was
created as a Homecoming for those service members who returned to the country
through a hospital and never received the proper celebration for their return.
The Run For The Warriors® invited the community to come together—military
units, families, community leaders, and local businesses—in support of a group
of service members wounded in Iraq. It was a beautiful event and nothing,
including the pouring rain, could dampen our spirits.
I am excited to celebrate
10 years of Run For The Warriors® with you and the Jacksonville community. To
celebrate 10 years, I am making a personal commitment to support our nation’s
heroes and military families. I want to
donate $10 in support of your run!
Once you register for the
10th Annual Run For The Warriors®, we encourage each of you to also raise
funds to help military families in your community. I want to be the first one
to donate towards your fundraising and help you get started. I will donate $10 to the first 50
individuals that send me a link to your 10th Annual Run For The
Warriors® donation page.
I look forward to
supporting your fundraising efforts and I am excited to see you at this year’s
race.
Very Sincerely,
Robin Kelleher, President
of Hope For The Warriors®
